The 2016 track champs will be upon us soon so it’s time to start planning for this event! This will mark the end of the Sunday development program so is a good chance to put new skills into practise. If you haven’t raced in the Otago Champs before have a chat to your coach or a senior club member and come along!

Entries: all entries to Neil Derbyshire (neil.derbyshire@xtra.co.nz). Entries close 6pm Sunday 13th December. Please provide licence number, age category as at 2016 licence
Cost: $10 for the championship and all events payable on the day
Rain Date: Tuesday 22nd December, 6.30 start.
Age groups: The age group is determined by the age on the 31st of December 2016, if you are confused include your date of birth with your entry and ask your coach. For the masters grades we will run M1 (35-44), M2 (45-54) and M3 (55+).
Gear limits: All riders must ride under the Cycling New Zealand gear limits for junior riders. Remember these are limits and many riders will ride well under the limit because of the conditions at Seddon Park. Talk to your coach if you are unsure. The limits are:
- U15 (including U13 and U11) = 6m
- U17 = 7m
- U19 = 7.93m
Licensing: all rider must have a valid 2016 Cycling NZ licence (or receipt as proof of purchase) and affiliation to Cycling Otago, to be eligible for championship racing. No licence, no race. Please note that 2016 licenses are available from the 1st of December from www.cyclingnewzealand.nz
